Welcome Message
Welcome to Astrum Multi Academy Trust
Welcome and thank you for visiting our website. Astrum is currently made up of 2 academies, split across 4 school sites. We cater for pupils aged 2-19 who have a range of severe and complex special educational needs and disabilities.
“We believe that every pupil has the ability to achieve and live a fulfilling life and that we, as educators, have the knowledge and resources to make this happen.”
Astrum Multi Academy Trust is a unique community, formed by forward-thinking leaders who were keen to maintain and expand specialist provision for pupils who were most in need of dedicated SEND resources and teaching & learning expertise.
Since forming the trust in 2017, we have expanded our special school places, developed our specialist services and formed a SEND post-16 provision with an ever increasing need to grow these provisions in line with local demand.

🏆 PFA Quiz Night Raises Over £400 for School Community!
Following a break of over a year, the PFA quiz night returned on Friday evening and proved to be a very successful event.
The quiz night was well attended by parents, carers, staff, friends and families, and raised over £400 in support of the school community. The evening brought people together in a relaxed and enjoyable setting, strengthening the strong sense of community that surrounds the school.
There has already been interest in holding another quiz night during the summer term, which the PFA will look into as plans progress.
We would like to thank everyone who helped make the event a success, including those who attended, contributed prizes for the raffle, and supported with setting up and clearing away on the night.
A special thank you goes to Paul Canon, our quiz master, and his wife, for leading a fun and well-organised evening that was enjoyed by all.
🚴🏻 Kevin Johnson Takes on Two of the UK’s Toughest Cycling Challenges to Support Our Pupils
Kevin Johnson, Site Manager at Hatchside Junior and Infant Schools, is undertaking a significant personal cycling challenge to raise funds in support of children across Astrum Multi Academy Trust.
Kevin will be completing two demanding endurance cycling events, raising money for the Parents and Friends Associations at Newbridge and Hatchside. Funds raised will help provide additional resources and equipment that directly benefit pupils.
Supporters who donate will also be able to track Kevin’s progress on the day of each ride, following his journey as he completes the challenges.
We are grateful to Kevin for his commitment and to everyone who chooses to support this fundraising effort.
