Since I have been doing an intern at King George Hospital, I have gained loads of confidence while I have been training on Beech Ward and Gentian Ward. The staff have been lovely and very willing to show me what to do, as well as supervising me doing new things that I have never done before such as washing patients, OBS – Blood pressure, temperature, and saturation. I can not believe how far I have came. I never thought I was going to come this far and be very independent. I also answered phones, printed out patients’ identity badge, communicated with my colleagues, family members and patients. I am also happy with how I have been treated while being on this Project - they are lovely and are always there when you need someone to speak to. They also let you choose from what you want to do for your 3 rotations. I was doing Health Care Assistant through all my rotations and when you get the hang of it and know what your doing, also once you meet the staff you will enjoy it. You will learn a lot.
