Intern Experience - Umer
I have improved my interpersonal skills considerably, including opening the door for others and greetings. In actual working I have improved my work ethic practically and have closed many potential distractions. In my first rotation as an A+E SDEC Admin Assistant, I did filing, prepared the files to be taken to warehouse, and assisted in audits. I also helped the Ward Clerk with anything they wanted and did a bit of cleaning and restocking.
In my second rotation as a Logistics Support Officer my mentor took my interpersonal skills very seriously and constantly reminded me about them. In addition to delivering goods, I also unloaded, loaded, and helped with equipment. If there was nothing else left, I packed blood cultures to be sent to pathology.
In my last rotation in the Clinic Change team I updated digital records and cancelled appointments. I also made letters easier to read and used a machine to pack them in envelopes. Another thing I did was make data graphs and tables for use in meetings.
In conclusion because of my internship, I have learnt a wide range of skills as well as improved myself as a person.
